A city journal of ordinary time
CommonHours
Eight stories from the parts of the week nobody photographs: a library's late shift, a bus route read backwards from its final stop, a repair counter that refuses to promise anything.

About Common Hours
We file the hours
nobody schedules.
Common Hours is a reading room kept as a register. Reporters stay for the whole session, write down what actually happened, and note how long it takes you to read it.

01
Ordinary first
If a place is already on the visitor map, it has enough coverage. We file the upstairs room, the gate that needs mending, the counter that opens only after noon.
-
02
Attendance, not opinion
The repair that fails stays in the story. So does the shaded corner where nothing much grows, and the bench somebody put there instead.

03
Hours printed plainly
Each plate carries its topic, its filing date and its reading time. Nothing in this issue runs longer than eight minutes.
