✳ Field guide No. 001 · autumn edition · specimens on file
Curbside
A field guide to the everyday city, kept one observation at a time.
This season’s records include a reading room that outlasts dinner, a bus route worth the window seat, a repair counter where broken things become shared problems, and other evidence of the city doing its daily rounds.

The index
Every record is filed under a plate number and a topic. Search the titles, narrow the field, and keep whatever you want to come back to.

How to use this guide
-
Look closer
Every specimen in this index was collected within walking distance of an ordinary doorstep. Nothing here is too small to notice: a closing time, a bench where nothing grows, a hand-painted sign doing its job.
-
Note the conditions
Each record logs who observed it, when it was filed, and how long the read takes — the way a naturalist logs the weather around a sighting. The plates are numbered so you can cite what you saw.
-
Keep what matters
Open any specimen and press save for later to strike the red kept stamp. Kept specimens stay in your collection until you release them — the browser remembers between visits.
