Issue 14 · The city, up close
Small hours,
short walks,
shared tables.
Laneway covers the ordinary city the way residents actually use it: the reading room that stays open late, the bus you ride to the last stop, the market bench where lunch tastes better.

About
A magazine for the habitual city
Laneway is a small magazine about everyday urban life. We write about rooms, routes, and routines: where people sit, how they get home, what they fix, and what they eat standing up. Every story is short enough for a commute and reported at walking pace.
All people, places, and products in our stories are fictional, written for this publication. Stock photographs illustrate the mood of a piece; they are never documentary evidence of the events described. Type is set in Space Grotesk, Work Sans, and IBM Plex Mono, all served locally.
