Inside the studio since 2019

A room for
trying things.

Forma is a small workshop studio in Red Hook. Six tables, good tools, strong coffee, and teachers who would rather show you than tell you.

We keep the groups small so there is room for questions, wrong turns, and the good kind of mess. Everything you need is waiting on the table.

Practical notes

Before you
come along.

No prior experience is needed for any workshop. Bring yourself, wear something you can make a mess in, and we will take care of the rest.

What is included?

All materials, tools, aprons, and coffee. Sourdough Sunday also goes home with a loaf and a jar of starter; Wild Stems goes home with the arrangement.

Do I need experience?

No. Each session starts at the beginning and moves at the pace of the table. Returning makers are welcome too — there is always room to go further.

What if I need to change plans?

Write to us at least 48 hours before the workshop and we will move you to another date when there is space. Seats are limited to the numbers listed on each plate.

Is the studio accessible?

The studio has step-free access from the street, an accessible restroom, and adjustable-height tables. Tell us what would help and we will set it up.
