The room · 02

A long table, good tools, good company.

Forma is a working studio, not a classroom set. Classes stay small enough that there is room to ask questions, make a mess, and change your mind halfway through. The coffee is local, the aprons are clean, and nobody is grading you.

“You don’t need talent. You need an afternoon and the willingness to make a mess.” Maya Chen · Ceramics

Do I need any experience?

No. Every workshop is built for beginners and useful for people who have tried it before. Teachers demonstrate each step, then work alongside you. If you get stuck, ask — that is what the small class size is for.

What should I bring, and wear?

Just yourself. Tools, materials, aprons and refreshments are included. Wear something you don’t mind getting flour, clay or paint on, and bring a bag big enough for whatever you make.

Can I come on my own?

Absolutely — most people do. Seats are individual, and the long table makes it easy to settle in beside someone new. If you are coming with a friend, add both workshops to your shortlist and mention it when you book.

What if I need to cancel?

Tell us at least 48 hours before your workshop and we will move your place to another date or refund it. Inside 48 hours, we can often still transfer your seat to a friend — just send us their name.

Is the studio accessible?

The entrance, workroom and bathroom are step-free. The long worktables are 34 inches high and can be raised; let us know if you would like a standing place or extra space at the table. Assistance dogs are welcome.
